New Federal Regulations on E-Cigarettes and Nicotine – Can They Banning It Be Stopped?
The latest news surrounding the world of electric cigarettes and vapors is that kids are getting hooked on them just as readily as adults. While it’s hard to argue that the flavorings along with other additives in the smokes aren’t dangerous, they are often quite addictive and create issues with quitting. It’s very problematic for a person to give up smoking without experiencing the withdrawal symptoms which are so synonymous with the physical act of smoking. That’s why it can be so important to educate teens concerning the serious health threats of teenage smoking and the dangers of e smokers using electronic cigarettes.
Just what exactly does this all mean for smoking cessation products? To begin with, we must start paying more attention to how the companies that produce these products are promoting them. There is no doubt that lots of companies have pulled out the advertising money from television ads and other media in order to not only attract new customers but to eliminate the smokers that are already hooked. In a world where youth smoking is reaching all-time highs, companies offering vaporizers and other smoking cessation products should do a lot more than promote their product.
As a society we’ve come to rely on the cigarettes and vapors as our primary form of nicotine delivery. E cigarettes along with other nicotine delivery systems have long been associated with smoking and being truly a drug. We’ve all developed believing that smoking is cool, normal, best for your body and that there’s nothing wrong with it. That is why we end up with patches, gums, lollipops along with other nicotine replacement therapies. Even though it involves long-term smoking cessation, we still put our rely upon products that mimic cigarettes.
In light of this it’s pretty clear that the cigarettes and other smoking cessation products should be viewed much more closely. Wish new product appears like a cigarette doesn’t mean that it’s going to work like a cigarette. The truth is that e cigarettes and other nicotine delivery systems aren’t safe. They are not clear of the same cancer-causing compounds and nicotine toxicities that cigarettes are. It is critical to understand this if you want to minimize the impact of the cigarettes and vaping health threats.
The most frequent type of e cigarette and one of the initial smoking cessation products to gain wide public approval was the blu-ray. It looked and smelled just like a real cigarette and was likely to help smokers kick the habit by mimicking the physical act of lighting a cigarette. The truth is neither the blue screen of the Blu-ray nor the actual act of lighting a cigarette could make you stop smoking. In fact, individuals who used e cigarettes or vapes and did not light found it hard to avoid. This was immediately apparent in the amount of people attempting to quit using the products.
The FDA eventually received several reports about the negative side-effects produced by the utilization of these e cigarettes and made a decision to ban them. But they didn’t completely eradicate them from the market. Instead, the federal government encouraged manufacturers to add a nicotine-reducing ingredient called the NRT in the products. The problem with this nicotine-reduction formula is that it does not reduce smoking simply by itself.
This was not the only real problem the Feds had with Vaping health. Many state and local governments felt that the Vaping health system was being abused. State and local municipalities were closing down the stores that offered Vaping products and claiming that the smokers were simply using these products as a way to bypass the smoking laws. Ultimately the FDA announced they will be regulating the cigarettes and NRT just as that they regulate tobacco products.
The bottom line is that there is no doubt that the FDA and the Eiffel tower were correct in banning the sale of these products. But we have to also understand that smokers are able to use a vaporizer while they are smoking. The new FDA regulations Smok Novo on the cigarettes and NRT will not change this fact. So essentially, the brand new FDA regulation banning the sale of fruit flavored and herbal flavored e cigarettes will really do little to help us quit smoking.
